Youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Damongo Constituency, alongside party elders and community members, have issued a three-day ultimatum to the party leadership to publish the names of shortlisted candidates for the position of West Gonja Municipal Chief Executive.

According to them, the vetting committee and regional executives should ensure fairness and transparency in the selection processes.

They are also accusing party leadership of sidelining constituency executives and failing to communicate progress on the selection process.

They alleged at a press conference on February 11 that there are rumors of the party ignoring the constituency's recommendations in favor of three different names, insisting that, any candidate selected must be chosen based on merit, dedication, and long-term contributions to the party.
