Dominic Ayine for his decision to explain why several high-profile court cases were discontinued.
In a social media post, Anyenini pointed out that while the Supreme Court has ruled that an Attorney General is not legally bound to justify a nolle prosequi or case withdrawal, Dr.
Ayine has chosen to break from tradition by offering public explanations for such decisions, especially in cases of national interest. "This AG departs, stating he will explain whenever he files such in a public interest case," Anyenini wrote, emphasizing that this approach reflects progressive and sound legal governance.
