Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mustapha Hamid has responded to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) about an investigation into corruption-related offences at the NPA.

The OSP at a press briefing on Wednesday, February 12 said the former NPA CEO together with three others are under investigation for alleged embezzlement of a GHC1.3billion from the Unified Petroleum Pricing Fund (UPPF) at the NPA.

Responding to these claims in a post on Facebook shortly after the OSP'S address, Mustapha Hamid said as of the time the OSP made the announcement, he has never received any invitation by any state investigative body for alleged embezzlement neither is he under investigation for the alleged crime.

He, however, noted that he is willing to avail himself to assist in investigations of the alleged embezzlement of funds.
