The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, has denied allegations that officers from his office raided the home of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, February 12, Agyebeng dismissed the reports as false, stating that intelligence suggests the incident was staged to create discontent against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
His remarks come after reports emerged that a group of armed security personnel stormed Ofori-Atta's residence in Cantonments, Accra.
According to eyewitnesses, around 12 individuals-some in police and military uniforms, others in civilian clothing-forced their way into the house, allegedly searching the premises without presenting a search or arrest warrant.
