Former Finance Minister of Ghana, Samuel Ofori-Atta, has been declared a wanted fugitive by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), after failing to appear before the office in relation to several corruption scandals.
The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, announced the news in a press conference at the agency's offices in Accra on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025.
According to him, Ofori-Atta is wanted in regards to four corruption cases including the the National Cathedral project, the Strategic Mobilization Limited (SML) scandal, and others.
The OSP said Ofori-Atta, who is believed to be out of the country, should return immediately to face justice.
