Labour Consultant, Austin Gamey has said the transition team which was set up to transition power to the Mahama administration should have been informed of recruitments and appointments by the erstwhile Akufo-Addo administration after December 7, 2024 elections.

Mr.

Gamey explained that in any proper governance structure, the transition team would have been briefed of the processes and the qualifications including the employment and appointments of such persons into state institutions after the December 7 elections.

His assertion follows the directive by President Mahama for the annulment of all appointments made by the erstwhile Akufo-Addo administration after December 7, 2024 Austin Gamey noted that the politicization of the recruitments by the erstwhile administration may be the reason for the annulment by President Mahama. "The appropriate thing would have been to let the transition team know that we began a process like this and that the people haven't been shortlisted and interviewed by panel…we intend giving them appointment letter so we want the blessings of the transitional team. "That is the wise approach in governance, that's how it's supposed to be.
