The Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists (GAMLS) has expressed concern over the fatalities recorded as a result of the cholera outbreak.

A statement issued by GAMLS and signed by Dr.

Gloria Amegatcher particularly lamented the fatalities recorded in Effutu in the Central Region and the number of cases recorded.

The Association is of the view that the outbreak is a reflection of gaps in water and sanitation, underscoring the need for it to be addressed immediately to prevent further spread of cholera and new deaths.
