has officially commenced his duties as the Minister of Health, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Ghana's healthcare sector.
Addressing staff during a durbar held to welcome him on February 10, 2025, he emphasized the importance of teamwork and urged staff to collaborate with him in addressing the nation's pressing health challenges.
These challenges according to him, include the uneven distribution of healthcare professionals, inadequate healthcare infrastructure, and the increasing burden of infectious and non-communicable diseases.
He further disclosed that the government has pledged to provide incentives for health workers to encourage them to accept postings in rural areas. "With your support, I am confident that we will overcome challenges in the health sector, and we will be victorious in achieving one health in the country," he stated.
