The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, has criticised the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) committee, describing it as a disorganized entity without any constitutional mandate to investigate corruption cases or recover state assets.
Speaking in an interview on UTV on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, he questioned the legal basis on which the committee is operating. "I had the opportunity to read about ORAL, and I think it has been a confused committee since day one.
They don't have any constitutional basis whatsoever to deal with corruption cases.
On what basis are they recovering state assets?", he remarked.
