The Member of Parliament of Old Tafo, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, has expressed his concerns about the current state of the (NPP).
Speaking in an interview on UTV on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Assafuah, who is also a lawyer, stated that the present condition of the party no longer resonates with him or other young individuals who were once drawn to it due to its appeal to the youth.
According to him, the party needs to undertake reforms and revamp its national executives by bringing in individuals, especially the youth, who have the party's best interests at heart and are capable of enforcing the necessary changes to help strengthen its core. "… I don't know what came over our people and I believe that in the future, we should have a very strong party with strong national executives who can address issues with just a phone call.
I think we need to beef up the strength of our national executives and structure.
