Plan International Gha­na has presented assorted farm equipment to women groups to economically empow­er them to improve their farm produce and promote economic growth.

The items include motor king (tricycle), grinding mill, sprayers, packaging materials, honey vari­eties, Wellington boots, threshers, soya planters, soya and snail dryers, poly tanks (Rambo 400) and gas cylinders.

At a short ceremony here in Tamale to hand over the items to the beneficiaries, the Northern Regional Programmes Influencing and Impact Area Manager, Mr Sulemana Gbana, said the "WISE Project" was part of their vision­ary initiative to work tirelessly in collaboration with their partners and public stakeholders to realise the goals of the project.

He said the presentation of the items was a testament to their collective efforts and commitment to improving women's agency and economic empowerment in the country. "The WISE Project has directly benefited 12,641 women with 4,046 receiving targeted support for agriculture and green business­es," he stated.
