Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said that Ghana's embassies are prepared to assist Ghanaians there he has urged Ghanaians living abroad to get closer to their embassies for assistance.
His comments in reaction to President Donald Trump's decision to make deportation of undocumented foreign nationals a key policy.
The US is said to have identified about 18,000 Indian nationals it believes entered illegally.
Explaining why Ghanaians must get closer to their embassies, Mr Ablakwa said that it is only when the embassies know them that assistance can be provided if need be.
