The New Patriotic Party (NPP), Minority of Parliament, has raised concerns about the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Majority caucus's inability to mobilise at least 91 Members of Parliament (MPs) to form quorum for proceedings of the House to commence.
Mr Habib Iddrisu, the First Deputy Minority Whip, said despite the NDC having 183 MPs and an additional four independent MPs, totalling 187, the NDC struggled to meet the required quorum.
The First Deputy Minority Whip expressed the concern when addressing the Parliamentary Press Corps after the adjournment of the House on Friday due to the lack of quorum to do business.
Mr Iddrisu, also a New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP for Tolon, stated that the actions of the Majority had sparked questions about an alleged internal divisions or lack of commitment to their legislative duties.
