Consequently, delegates at the end of conference appointed a sub-committee to deliberate and communicate to delegates the agreed date for the sighting of the moon for the 2025 Ramadan fasting with the sub-committee chaired by Alhaji Yussif Alhassan who is also the National Chairman of Ramadan Conference. "March shall be the first day of Ramadan.
If not sighted, 1st March shall be the 30th day of Sha'ban, then Sunday, the 2nd day of March shall automatically be the first day of Ramadan - 2025," the Communique stated.
