Majority Chief Whip, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has explained his involvement in the chaos which ensued in Parliament on January 30 during some ministerial vetting.
The South Dayi MP was seen in videos which captured the chaotic scene holding unto the shirt of Gushegu MP, Hassan Tampuli while the latter also held unto his fugu with both dragging each other and arguing.
Speaking in an interview on TV3's Hot Issues, Dafeamekpor explained that he was only trying to prevent his colleague, an MP from Western North from being injured by Hassan Tampuli.
According to him, the Western North MP together with Hassan Tampuli were positioned between two tables which had cracks and could cause severe injuries.
