The seven-member committee constituted by the Speaker of Parliament, , to investigate the chaos that characterised the activities of the Appointments Committee is continuing its public hearing on Monday, February 10, 2025.

A number of witnesses are expected to appear before the committee on Monday, including a man who claims to have been invited to witness the vetting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

Members of the Minority Caucus, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Parliament, have boycotted the proceedings of the committee.

The committee, which is chaired by Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, has been tasked by the Speaker to conduct a full-scale investigation into the events of Thursday night, January 30, and Friday morning during the Appointments Committee's sittings.
