The Vola Regional Minister, Mr James Gunu on Thursday, February 6, has announced plans to increase security in the region.
He made this known when he had an engagement with the Standing Committee of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs to discuss some of the pressing challenges facing the beloved region.
One of the main important discussion points during the engagement was the increasing security checkpoints in the region.
He says he listened to concerns regarding their impact on movement and economic activity and assured them that "we will work with relevant authorities to ensure a streamlined and effective system that promotes both security and ease of travel." Mr Gunu further said that the meeting was insightful, reinforcing the strong partnership between my office and our revered traditional leaders as we work towards a better, more sustainable Volta Region.
