The former Spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Kwasi Kwarteng, has challenged , the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to be forthcoming with the truth regarding a property at Airport Hills that is occupied by the lawmaker.

He stated that Ablakwa, recognised as a prominent advocate against corruption in the country, should demonstrate transparency and accountability by revealing the rent paid for the residence he occupies at Airport Hills.

Kwarteng argued that the general public is not concerned with the ownership of the property in question rather, the focus should be on how the lawmaker can afford and make payments for the property, especially given his claim of receiving only a government salary as his sole source of income. "The real issue is not whether you own the Airport Hills property; no one is interested in that!

What Ghanaians want to know is the cost of your rent and how you can afford it, given your own claim that your only source of income is a monthly salary from the Government of Ghana," he wrote on X on February 8, 2025.
