National security operatives have intercepted a significant stash of money, including counterfeit US dollars and Ghanaian cedi notes, along with boxes of suspected gold bars, concealed within twelve 20-foot shipping containers.
The operation, prompted by a tip-off, led authorities to a warehouse in Sapeiman, within the Ga South Municipality, where the discovery was made.
Upon inspection, the containers were found to contain bundles of US dollars hidden inside wooden boxes and surrounded by cement.
Additional seized items included fake Ghana Army uniforms and boots.
