The Managing Director of Ghana Water Limited, Adam Mutawakilu, has accused the Akufo-Addo-led administration of deceiving residents of Damongo in the Savannah Region with promises of providing potable pipe-borne water. "When we are talking about a 40-million-dollar water project, 17 million Ghana cedis is nothing to talk about," Mutawakilu stated.
He made these remarks during a courtesy visit to the Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, at the Jakpa Palace on February 8.
Mutawakilu assured residents that potable water would be provided once all necessary mobilization is completed, adding that a timeline for the project would be announced soon.
As part of his visit, he also called on Busunuwura Jonokpowu Monasa I, Damongowura Seidu Kelly Boresa I, and the Chief Imam of the Laribanga community. Read also… ORAL will succeed, let's remain focused on resetting Ghana - Ablakwa
