Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has addressed the situation involving Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell, who are currently training away from the first-team squad. Maresca insists he has been "honest" rather than "brutal" with Sterling and Chilwell, as part of his efforts to manage a bloated squad.
"Brutal? I don't think so. I try to be honest," Maresca said. He clarified that he spoke with Sterling before Chelsea's 2-0 defeat to Manchester City, explaining that Sterling would "struggle to get minutes" and thus was left out of the squad.
