The Asantehene, , appears to be on another season of settling some chieftaincy issues in some of the paramountcies in his kingdom. The Asantehene, on Monday, August 19, 2024, chaired the Asanteman Council meeting to adjudicate stool disputes involving Berekum, Dua Yaw Nkwanta, Awua Dumase, Sabronum, and Denyase traditional areas. The case of the Denyase Traditional Area, however, ended in tears for the Paramount Queen of Denyase (Denyasehemaa) Nana Adutwiwaa Bonin III, as the King of Asante declared she was not a royal. The Asantehene, after giving the history of the Denyase stool, reprimanded Nana Adutwiwaa Bonin III for the way she handled an impasse. Before the Asantehene could even finish his statement, the queen mother walked towards him, fell on the ground, and started weeping.
