President John Mahama has banned first-class travel for government ministers and appointees to encourage modesty and responsible spending.
He announced this decision during the swearing-in of new ministers at the Jubilee House on 7th February,2025.
He emphasized that his government would be guided by humility and respect for the people of Ghana. "The hallmark of this government will be modesty and respect for the Ghanaian people.
There will be no room for arrogance and pomposity," he stated.
