A former Minister of Foreign Affairs, , has spoken about not making the list of appointees of President .

Speaking in an interview on 3FM on Friday, February 7, 2025, indicated she is not peeved about not being appointed by President Mahama because she was not expecting it.

The former minister, who was recently appointed as the United Nations (UN) Special Envoy to Libya, indicated that she was not expecting any appointment from Mahama because she is enjoying her diplomatic work.

She added that it would have been wrong for Mahama to give her and her sister, Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, whom the president has nominated as the Deputy Minister of Works, Housing and Water Resources-designate, roles in his government. "The thing is, in any political establishment, especially as President Mahama had sent the signals early in the day that he wanted a lean government.
