Nana Akua Afriyie, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate for Ablekuma North, has expressed confidence in her victory despite delays in the official declaration of results.
In an interview on Channel One Newsroom on Thursday, February 6, Afriyie stated that she remains patient and optimistic about the eventual outcome. "It is worrying but at the end of the day, since I know I won, I have all the patience in this world to wait for the EC to declare me as the winner, so I am not perturbed at all," Afriyie stated.
She added that she hopes the matter will be resolved soon. "We are hoping that this week it will see the light of day." Addressing calls for a rerun, Afriyie firmly rejected the idea, citing the availability of the necessary documentation. "The three polling stations, we have the pink sheets.
