The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has brushed off threats by the Minority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, to disrupt parliamentary business if the Electoral Commission (EC) fails to declare Akua Afriyie as the winner of the 2024 parliamentary election in the Ablekuma North constituency.
Dr.
Rashid Tanko Computer, Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the NDC dismissed the Minority's ultimatum, stating that their numbers are insufficient to halt government business in Parliament.
Speaking on Eyewitness News on Thursday, Tanko Computer emphasised that the Minority, with only 88 members, cannot even form a quorum to conduct parliamentary proceedings. "They are 88, they cannot even form a quorum to do any business in the house.
