Damango MP Samuel Abu Jinapor has expressed confidence in Kofi Adams' ability to rejuvenate Ghanaian football, particularly the Black Stars, following their recent setbacks.
Adams, 49, was vetted last week by the Appointments Committee and is expected to be sworn in by President John Mahama in the coming days, replacing Mustapha Ussif as the Minister of Sports.
Ghana's national football team, the Black Stars, has faced significant challenges recently, notably failing to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
This marks the first time since 2004 that Ghana will miss the tournament, highlighting a decline in the nation's football fortunes.
