President has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in the country and implementing measures aimed at reducing the high cost of treating chronic diseases.

Mahama outlined plans to launch the Ghana Medical Care Trust Fund, popularly known as Mahama Cares, to support individuals battling chronic illnesses, such as kidney and liver disease, high blood pressure, and cardiac conditions. "In healthcare, we will continue to improve our hospitals and all levels of our healthcare system.
We will prioritise healthcare, and I will launch the Ghana Medical Care Trust Fund to assist individuals with chronic diseases.
