President John Mahama undertook a Thank You Tour to the Western Region on February 5.
Among others, President John Mahama directed Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, to take urgent steps to formulate policies that will tackle the galamsey menace in line with the NDC's promises as contained in its people's manifesto.
It is the conviction of the President that galamsey must be tackled as a national menace.
