Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have joined forces to push for improved security at league venues following the tragic incident at the Nana Koromansah II Stadium in Nsoatre.
The two clubs have announced plans to submit a joint position paper to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), advocating for stricter security measures in the Ghana Premier League.
Their move comes in response to the violent scenes that marred Kotoko's match against Nsoatreman on matchday 19, leading to the unfortunate death of a devoted fan, Francis Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley.
The Ghana Police have since taken over investigations, with at least five individuals arrested in connection to the incident.
