The Chairman of the Adhoc Committee investigating the Appointments Committee chaos, Emmanuel Bedzrah, has alleged that Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin directed NPP MPs not to appear before the committee to testify.

During the committee's first public hearing on Wednesday, February 5, Bedzrah announced the indefinite suspension of proceedings, citing a directive from the Clerk of Parliament, which was initially believed to have come from Speaker Alban Bagbin.

The Ho West MP revealed that he later discovered that the directive to suspend the committee hearing was orchestrated by the Minority and not an order from Bagbin.

In an interview with Vivian Kai Lokko on Channel One Newsroom, on Wednesday, February 5, Bedzrah claimed that the Minority leadership also actively prevented its members from testifying before the committee.
