Some constituents of Klottey Korle Constituency in the Greater Accra region have petitioned the speaker of parliament to deal with some disparaging comments uttered to their Member of Parliament.
An unknown voice on the minority side in Parliament was heard shouting at Zenator Rawlings to sit down when she rose up to make a point.
The voice, which is yet to be identified, said, 'Sit down, you daughter of a murderer.' The minority leader who had the floor in parliament prompted his colleagues to desist from the comment, but a voice was heard insisting that there is evidence to back the fact that she is the daughter of a murderer.
However, constituents of Zenator Rawlings are of the view that the comments are disparaging and need to be investigated.
