Jeffrey Schlupp has revealed that a conversation with former Leicester City teammate Kasper Schmeichel played a crucial role in his decision to join Celtic.
The Ghana international completed a deadline-day transfer from Crystal Palace to the Scottish champions on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
Schlupp is expected to make his debut tonight when Celtic face Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.
Speaking to Celtic TV, the 32-year-old described his excitement about the move and the opportunity to reunite with Schmeichel, with whom he won the Premier League title at Leicester in 2016. "Kasper was one of the first people I spoke to when this opportunity came up," Schlupp said. "He messaged me, and we talked about how great the club is.
