A member of the communications team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Preko, has described the press conference held by a group in the Ashanti Region against the former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as a sponsored event aimed at smearing Dr Bawumia.
Yaw Preko told the party members and supporters not to be alarmed by the utterances of the group because Dr Bawumia has earned his place in the NPP. "Do not be alarmed nor distracted by the sponsored press conferences to attempt to smear Dr Bawumia.
We are focused.
Nobody will impose him on us.
