The running mate to the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has appealed to the Paramount chief of Agogo, Nana Akuoko Sarpong to support the party. NAPO made the appeal when he paid a courtesy call on the Agogomanhene at his Royal Palace in Agogo. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is on a nationwide tour, focusing on meeting with traditional authorities and how to strengthen the existing relationship between the NPP and the traditional leaders. In the view of the Omanhene, although chiefs are not requiured to play active role in politics, they cannot sit aloof, so they will urge politicians to do thinsg that are in the interest of Ghanaians. On his part, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, pointed out that his visit was to show respect and to deepen relationship between the party and traditional leaders.
