Kwame Governs Agbodza, the Minister for Roads and Highways has disclosed that a fellow Member of Parliment shockingly ripped off his console right before his very eyes during the chaos that erupted at the Appointments Committee's sitting on Thursday, January 30.
Appearing before Parliament's Special Committee, tasked with investigating the destruction that took place during the vetting session, Agbodza recounted the moment he witnessed his equipment being damaged.
He expressed deep shock at the actions of his colleague but refrained from publicly identifying the lawmaker responsible, instead urging the committee to review video footage of the chaos to verify the individual's identity. "A particular colleague of mine came in front of me and took my console and ripped it off.
I was so shocked that by the time I realised, the equipment in front of me was damaged and I am sure if you watch the entire video, you will see who it was." The incident was part of a broader breakdown in order that engulfed the vetting session, as tensions between the Majority and Minority caucuses escalated over procedural disagreements.
