CAF stadium security expert Nick Owusu has voiced his disappointment over Ghana's failure to address hooliganism in football, describing the recurring incidents as avoidable.

His remarks follow the tragic death of Kotoko supporter Francis Frimpong during a Premier League match against Nsoatreman in Nsoatre on February 2.

The incident adds to a growing list of violent episodes in Ghana's top flight, including assaults on Real Tamale United and Coach Maxwell Konadu, who was attacked in 2023.

Speaking to JoySports, Owusu stressed the need for a structured security approach. "There are certain steps that need to be taken as a country, and we are not taking those steps," he said.
