Former Asante Kotoko chairman Herbert Mensah has called for accountability following the violent incident that led to the death of Asante Kotoko supporter Francis Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley, during their match against Nsoatreman FC.
The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, February 2, at the Nana Koromansah II Stadium after a brawl broke out, resulting in Pooley being stabbed to death.
The match, which Kotoko lost, was overshadowed by the violence that has since sparked widespread outrage.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ghana Police Service have launched investigations, while Asante Kotoko has suspended all football-related activities until the culprits are brought to justice.
