Ghanaian business mogul and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama has pledged full educational support for Melchizedek Adio Baafawiise, the 13-year-old physics prodigy who recently made history as the youngest student ever admitted to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The meeting, held in Accra on February 3, 2025, brought together Melchizedek and his parents for an inspiring conversation about education, ambition, and the future of science in Ghana.

Ibrahim Mahama, known for his commitment to youth empowerment, commended the young scholar for his outstanding academic achievements.

Melchizedek, who hails from Bole in the Savannah Region, gained national attention after scoring 5 As and 3 Bs in the WASSCE at just 13 years old, earning a place at KNUST to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Physics.
