Parliamentary proceedings on 4 February 2025 took a chaotic turn when insults overshadowed constructive debate during discussions on the 60th anniversary of the death of Joseph Boakye Danquah.
The session became heated after Tamale Central MP, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, challenged what he described as exaggerated praises for JB Danquah by the Minority.
His remarks sparked a fierce exchange, prompting the presiding Speaker, Andrew Asiamah, to limit contributions to parliamentary leadership.
However, this move appeared to stifle other MPs rather than restore order.
