The Minority Caucus in Parliament has expressed disapproval of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa's appointment as Foreign Affairs Minister, pointing to issues with his actions and reactions throughout the screening process.
Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin reaffirmed the caucus' position during Tuesday's parliamentary session, saying that the Minority could not support Ablakwa's appointment in the current situation.
Afenyo-Markin washed his hands after First Minority Deputy Whip Habib Iddrisu poured water on them as a symbolic gesture of displeasure, signaling the Minority's disengagement from the approval process.
The Minority had previously abstained from voting on the approval of Samuel Nartey George.
