John Darko, the Member of Parliament for the Suame constituency, has expressed deep concern and sadness following a devastating fire at the Suame Magazine in Kumasi.
The MP visited the scene of the fire, which destroyed numerous cars, shops, cash, and other properties, to show support for the victims and to assess the extent of the damage.
Speaking to the media after the visit, Darko lamented the loss of resources, emphasizing the need for extreme caution when dealing with fire. "I am worried and saddened by the loss of resources," he stated.
He highlighted potential causes of the fire, including unattended burning rubbish, careless cigarette smokers, and volatile substances. "Fire is very dangerous, and we cannot be joking with it," he added.
