DCOP Lydia Donkor, Chairperson of the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) Security Committee, has held a meeting with key stakeholders in the Brong Ahafo Region to address the recent crowd violence during the Ghana Premier League match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko.

The meeting, aimed at fostering unity among clubs and enhancing security at league centres, was attended by Felix Bewu, a member of the Security Committee, Charles Osei Anto, Chairman of the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association, ACP Dela Djansi, Sunyani Divisional Police Commander, Superintendent Francis Numado, Sunyani District Police Commander, and representatives from various clubs in the region.

This follows the violent scenes at the Nana Koronmansah Park, which led to the tragic death of Kotoko supporter Francis Yaw Frimpong, also known as Nana Poole.

The match, which ended in a 1-0 victory for Nsoatreman FC, saw tensions rise after the referee issued four red cards—three to Kotoko players (Justice Blay, Michael Kyei Dwamena, and Mohammed Camara) and one to Nsoatreman's Stephen Diyou.
