Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Awatey has assured of a collaborative engagement with all stakeholders including traditional authorities in all the 11 paramouncies, technocrats and the private sector to ensure the Eastern Region benefits from President Mahama's resetting agenda.
Addressing a staff durbar at the Regional Coordinating Council in Koforidua on her first day in office, Awatey indicated that security, tourism, agriculture, environmental protection, water and sanitation will be her key priority areas. "We will improve our tourism industry.
We will need to improve our security situation to make life safe so that crime is reduced to the minimum.
We will also improve our agricultural system," she said.
