The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has called an emergency meeting with Premier League clubs to address security concerns following the violent incidents that occurred during the match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko at the Nana Koramansah Park on February 2, 2025.

The meeting, scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 11 am, comes in response to the tragic death of a Kotoko fan, Nana Pooley, who was fatally stabbed during the clashes, as well as multiple injuries and property damage.

The GFA has emphasized the urgent need to discuss safety protocols and preventative measures to avoid future tragedies in Ghanaian football.

The meeting will focus on key issues such as stadium safety, fan behaviour, and emergency response procedures, aiming to create a safer environment for players, officials, and supporters alike.
