The Chairman of the Appointments Commitee, Bernard Ahiafor, has accused the Minority Leader and Ranking Member, Alexander Afenyo-Markin of using the session to score political points.

According to Mr Ahiafor, the Minority Leader told him that they could not approve the then Lands and Natural Resources Minister-designate, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah because of how the latter addressed former President Akufo-Addo after the State of the Nation Address.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Alfred Ocansey on February 3, Mr Ahiafor said, "he (Minority Leader) is using the vetting to score political points.

He told me that they have decided not to approve Armah Kofi Buah because of how he spoke to President Akufo-Addo during the State of the Nation Address.
