The management of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital says it has temporarily suspended its mortuary services for refurbishment.
According to the hospital, it will not accept new bodies for the next six weeks.
However, it said this does not apply to patients who died while in the hospital.
In a statement released by hospital management, it advised families with relatives in the mortuary for three weeks or more to arrange for burial or transfer. "The refurbishment is expected to be completed within six weeks.
