The independent parliamentary candidate for Atiwa East Constituency in the 2024 Election, Nana Adjei Kyerema, has called for the immediate resignation of the (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) of North Tongu Constituency, , who is also the Minister of Foreign Affairs-designate.
Explaining further, he indicated that he fully supports any policy or measure, such as the government's Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), that will forestall the looting of state resources and ensure the recovery of looted resources, irrespective of the time the looting took place or the political affiliation of the perpetrators.
However, he said such support is also contingent on the appointment of leaders who have displayed courage, integrity and an unblemished personal record in the fight against graft and corruption.
As such, he stated that the appointment of Okudzeto Ablakwa as Chairman of ORAL was initially greeted with general approval, given his previous anti-corruption crusade and exposés.
