The Chairman of the Appointments Committee of Parliament.
Bernard Ahiafor, has stated that the Clerk to the Committee, Gifty Jiagge-Gobah, can only be removed over his dead body.
Mr Ahiafor contends that Mrs Jiagge-Gobah has not done anything wrong to be removed from office as demanded by the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
He was reacting to an assertion by Mr Afenyo-Markin that the Clerk to Parliament is partisan, thus must be removed from office. "She is a typical NDC member.
