The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) has cautioned journalists to be circumspect in their work ahead of the 2024 general elections. Ghanaians are preparing to go to the polls on December 7 to elect a president and Members of Parliament. The Electoral Commission (EC), as part of the preparations, is currently undertaking voters' register exhibition exercise across the country. MFWA asked journalists to be interrogative and inquisitive in the reporting in order to ensure that the right information is churned out. The Executive Director, Sulemana Braimah stated that politicians have a penchant for taking undue advantage of the media to engage in propaganda.
